Rumor has it that Rick Ross was scheduled to perform today Dec 28th at the Calabar carnival, and he collected his full performance fee, but then didn't show up for reasons he termed 'unfulfilled contractual obligations'.
Well, on the 28th December, a broadcast was circulated and it was said that the Cross River State Government has hired lawyers to sue him for damages after a full refund.

Kenny G booked to perform at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island.
Mike Aremu, the initiator of popular Jazz concert, ‘Sax Appeal’ has disclosed how he was able to get Grammy award winning saxophonist, Kenny G, to perform at this year’s show.
According to Mike Aremu the initiator of the popular Jazz cncert,
The concert will also feature MOBO award winning Briton, Yolanda Brown; South African Judith Sephuma and Kunle Ayo, a Nigerian guitarist based in South Africa. Aremu and singer Waje will complete the line up.

“Getting Kenny G was really easy, my team and I agreed on having Kenny G perform at the 2011 edition of Sax Appeal last year, and then we began speaking to our very good friends at Wave FM in California. Sometime this year, we got to speak to his management team, and then they agreed to come to Nigeria in July. A couple of meetings and exchanges and here we are.”

Monalisa Chinda Lands #30 million Naira Endorsement deal!
The popular actress and Glo ambassador, Monalisa Chinda recently landed a juicy endorsement deal as the face of Vita500, a new energy drink from South Korea that recently stormed Nigeria and other West African countries.
Chinda, who’s also the face of the on-going Rivers State cultural fiesta, tagged CarniRiv 2011, happily confirmed the deal, but blatantly refused to disclose the amount involved.

My job for them as an ambassador is to basically use my face and goodwill to help promote the brand in Nigeria and other West African countries. This involves a lot of travelling and strategic public appearances”, she disclosed.

Ojukwu Celebrates his 78th birthday on a wheelchair.
The famous Ikemba Nnewi; Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, celebrated his 78th birthday recently on a wheelchair.
Though he was not there physically, his friends, well wishers and family all came together to celebrate him. Its been almost a year since he fell sick but the achiever still lives.

Jim Iyke in court over N15 Million Naira Fraud - 234 NEXT
As reported by 234:
Film actor, Jim Iyke, 35, was on Thursday arraigned before an Abuja Chief Magistrates' Court charged with N15 million fraud.
The Police Prosecutor, Mr Chijoke Okezie, told the court that on Aug. 8, Habiba Abubakar wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IG) to investigate the fraud.He said that investigation into the case revealed that the accused, a resident of Sunnyville Estate, Abuja, deceived Abubakar into acquiring 15 per cent equity shares to the tune of N15 million from his company, Untamed Records Ltd.
